Computer Vision / Machine Learning Scientist
I was in computer vision before deep learning, and I've been in it ever since.
I've published and/or patented work on topics including real-time 6-DoF tracking and camera relocalisation, adversarial vulnerability of ML systems, and alternative losses and architectures: see my Google Scholar profile for details.
The application areas have included medical image analysis (PhD), augmented reality for videogames (Sony PlayStation), human motion capture (Vicon), and autonomous navigation (Five AI/Bosch). Some of my research was done as a postdoc at the University of Oxford, where I also taught and mentored CV/ML PhD students.
These days, the areas that most interest me are ML robustness/security, AI for science (e.g. drug discovery), navigation/robotics, fine-grained generative tooling, and some serendipitous idea that I haven't heard yet.
